How are Prepaid Notes different from Gift Certificates and Gift Cards? Prepaid Notes give the buyer the ability to lock in today's prices and use at a later time that they choose. There are no expiration dates so this can be years later in they want and can use then. For example, a buyer purchased $50 in services from a hair salon (haircut current price $18) and then 2 years later decided to use some of their Prepaid Notes (haircut current price changed to $23, an increase in 30%). Both user accounts has a copy of the service/product of that timeframe to verify the haircut price at that time and that price is the one that gets deducted from the Prepaid Notes as used and updated in both user accounts.

Gift Certificates and Gift Cards operate differently as most have expiration dates and some gift cards have monthly or yearly fees so they get used in a timely manner. In addition, if prices changed from the time when the original gift certificate or gift card was purchased it does not matter since the seller's current prices are the ones that are used when buyers redeems it.

What are the costs associated with Prepaid Notes? For Buyers they are never any fees for using the service. For Sellers, there is a one time 2.99% fee charged on purchases, but no fees when it is used by buyer.

How long are Prepaid Notes good for? There are expiration dates or restrictions placed on Prepaid Notes and can be redeemed at any time even years later. Can I use Prepaid Notes on sales and promotions? Yes if a Seller has enabled for certain sales and promotions then yes you can lock in those sales/promotions and use them anytime in the future.

How much do I save using Prepaid Notes? We created the Prepaid Notes service as a way that buyers lock in today's price and hedge against inflation and save a lot down the road. Buyers have the ability to save thousands of dollars each year as more sellers offer this on the IOU Notes Platform.

We also at the same time created the service to benefit Seller's with the ability to get more more funds upfront in exchange for locked in prices.
